Japan have three ways of writing it.

They have two phonetic alphabets and then Kanji.

You can sound out phonetics! The two types are Hiragana and Katakana.

Hiragana is for Japanese words... sometimes mixed with Kanji.

Katakana it for words from other countries like America and Germany.
